Since making his acting debut on Mean Girls, actor and host Jonathan Bennett has worked out a unique career for himself in the entertainment industry.
For the tenth season, Jonathan Bennett has returned to host Halloween Wars on Food Network. This is his sixth season in the role of host.
In an interview with Padrisimo Magazine, Bennett chatted about the Halloween Wars Season finale, which airs on Sunday, October 29, 2023.
What’s going to surprise people about the new season of Halloween Wars?
J: I am so excited about Halloween Wars. This season, the pumpkin carvers are back, and I am back hosting my favorite show in the world and on Food Network. Halloween Wars has so many frights. This season has so many scary, creepy pumpkin creatures. This show is just such a fan favorite, and it’s always been about the pumpkin carvers. The pumpkin carvers went away for a while, but now they’re back. I’m back! So, it’s just so much fun to have everything back in the studio, shooting the show that we all love. We have the finale Sunday, and it is going to be the biggest, most insane Halloween Wars finale we’ve ever had.
Is there a role you have not played but would like to someday?
J: I would love to do a sitcom. I think a sitcom would be really fun because I love making people laugh. And I think if you’re in a sitcom and you have that live studio audience, you get that feeling of seeing if your joke worked or not. So, that’s on my bucket list.
What has your life been like since getting married?
J: Well, we’re actually at Unico Resort right now, and I’m standing right by where we got married a year and a half ago because we are throwing a wedding for a deserving couple that never got to have their dream wedding. So, I’m actually back at Unico right now, in Mexico. And we’re throwing a wedding for this couple that is so beautiful and so deserving. They never got to have their dream wedding. Anything in the works that you can talk about?
J: All I can say is that we have more Halloween Wars on the horizon for next season, and that’s all I can say because of certain strikes that are going on right now. So, I’ll leave it at that. But who knows? Maybe some theater will be in my future <wink>.

¿Qué sorprenderá a la gente sobre la nueva temporada de ‘Halloween Wars’?
J: Estoy muy entusiasmado con ‘Halloween Wars’. Esta temporada, los talladores de calabazas están de regreso y yo vuelvo a presentar mi programa favorito en el mundo en Food Network. Esta temporada tiene tantas criaturas tipo calabaza aterradoras y espeluznantes. Este programa es uno de los favoritos de los fanáticos y siempre se ha centrado en los talladores de calabazas, los cuales estuvieron ausentes por un tiempo, pero ahora han regresado. ¡Y estoy de vuelta! Es muy divertido tener todo nuevamente en el estudio, filmando el programa que todos amamos. Tenemos el final el domingo y será el final más grande y loco que jamás hayamos tenido.
¿Hay algún personaje que no hayas interpretado, pero que te gustaría hacer algún día?
J: Me encantaría hacer una comedia. Creo que sería muy divertida porque me encanta hacer reír a la gente. Y creo que, si estás en una comedia y tienes audiencia en vivo en el estudio, puedes ver si tu broma funcionó o no. Entonces, eso está en mi bucket list.
¿Cómo ha sido tu vida desde que te casaste?
J: Bueno, en realidad estamos en ‘Unico Resort’ en este momento, y estoy justo al lado de donde nos casamos hace un año y medio porque estamos organizando una boda para una pareja que lo merecía y que nunca pudo tener la boda de sus sueños. Ahora mismo estoy de regreso en Unico, en México. Y vamos a celebrar una boda para esta pareja que es tan hermosa y merecedora. Gracias a Maybelline por patrocinar y ayudar a que esto suceda.
¿Algún proyecto en puerta para este 2023?
J: Tenemos más ‘Halloween Wars’ en el horizonte para la próxima temporada. Así que lo dejaré así. ¿Pero quién sabe? Quizás en mi futuro haya algo de teatro (risas).
